Gaisce Programme in Columba College

Gaisce — the President’s Award is offered to all students in Columba College. It is the most Prestigious award in Ireland for young people aged between 15 & 25 years of age. The award is a self-directed personal development programme. It challenges students to set and pursue personal goals in four different areas:

  1. Community Involvement
  2. Personal Skills
  3. Physical Recreation
  4. Adventure Journey
Through the community involvement aspect of the course many of our students have become volunteers within the local community e.g. GAA Clubs, Scout Leaders etc. and in the school environment.
