The Junior Certificate Schools Programme assists students learning both socially and academically, which runs concurrent to the Junior Cycle programme. It aims to help students experience success and develop a positive self-image through engaging in:

  1. Statements of learning – describe an area of knowledge, concept or skill. It states and tracks what students know, understand and what they have achieved in their learning.
  2. Student Profile – is a positive record of all the statements of learning that a student has achieved throughout their time as Junior Cycle students.
  3. Initiatives – These are funded group activities across all curricular areas which assist in the holistic development of students. Examples of such initiatives include Study Skills, Environmental Trips, Word Millionaire.
